MA Wing Man (b. 1996, Hong Kong) is a Hong Kong based textile artist whose practice investigates the intersection of collective memory, tactile emotion, and spatial transformation. Utilizing fiber as a primary medium—chosen for its inherent qualities of warmth, tension, and organic resilience—Ma explores the intricate architectures of human connection within contemporary environments.

Ma’s work transcends traditional textile boundaries by creating immersive installations that invite physical movement and psychological contemplation. She treats threads as spatial traces of relationships: fragmented yet continuous, delicate yet structurally sound. Her practice prioritizes the "felt experience", offering haptic moments of stillness that interrupt the relentless flow of urban life.

Her award-winning installation, Roundabout (2023, InKluVision Award), exemplifies this ethos. By interweaving cotton threads with highly textured fibers, she constructs a "soft environment" that facilitates intimacy and social exchange. Ma’s work resonates most profoundly in transitional spaces—where people gather, pass through, or pause—transforming public voids into sites of shared vulnerability and quiet, collective resonance.
